Fire Rated Downlights Compliance

Integral LED Fire Rated Downlights are built with high-quality steel/aluminium and glass materials, which are suitable for filling a cut-out without compromising the integrity of the ceiling/floor structure in the event of a domestic fire.

During the Fire Rating testing, a hole is cut into a standard 30, 60 or 90 minute fire resistant floor/ceiling construction built over a 4 x 3 meter test furnace. A downlight is fitted into the hole in the ceiling and tested following a time/temperature fire curve.

The test for a Fire Rated Downlight is passed when it is confirmed that the declared integrity of the ceiling/floor has not been compromised.
