The Rt Hon Greg Clark MP, Minister for Universities, Science and Cities officially opened a new LED Lighting Laboratory facility which is part of a package of new investment planned by the company to meet a growing demand. Visiting the facility he acknowledged Integral’s achievement of staying at the top of a fast moving technology markets for many years.
Up to now it has been difficult to find a very bright LED bulb to replace a 100W filament lamp with a similar light output. To meet the demand, Integral has launched a retro-fit 13.5W LED at a massive 1521 lumens. This delivers the light output required but with the advantages of LED including 86% less energy - 86.5 less Watts (when compared to filament), instant on and a lifetime of up to 12X longer than traditional lamps. Yearly energy savings based on 3 hrs. per day are £13.26/€18.94.
