Project Overview: Modernising the In-Branch Experience

YESSS Electrical was ready for a much-needed lighting upgrade in their Castleford store so they could provide a more pleasing aesthetic experience for their customers whilst reducing energy bills. The installation of our latest lower-wattage LED light panels successfully revitalised the branch’s environment by significantly enhancing the overall illumination whilst providing the energy savings they wanted.

The Challenge: Outdated Efficiency

After 10 years of operation, the branch’s existing higher wattage overhead LED panels were no longer meeting modern efficiency standards. The challenge was to replace these aging fixtures with a solution that offered superior longevity and greater efficiency without requiring complex wiring modifications or disrupting daily business operations.

The Solution: A High-Efficiency LED Scheme

We executed a direct replacement of the old, aged and dull looking units with our new, highly efficient LED panels (ILP6060B062). The upgrade features a bright, crisp, modern look with a major reduction in wattage (19W less per panel) resulting in less energy consumption and longer lasting lamps (up to 50000 hours).

The Result: A Brilliant Return on Investment (ROI)

The lighting upgrade delivered a very strong and measurable ROI with immediate impact in two key areas: the customer experience and their operating expenditure.

With the old lighting, the energy YESSS Electrical Castleford used totalled nearly 7,000Kwh/Pa compared to the proposed less than 4,000Kwh/Pa after the new installation. Additionally, the new lighting will last two-and-a-half times longer than the previous fixtures and deliver brighter illumination. Their other stores could also benefit from small changes like this that produce big results, and your customers can too.

By simply replacing the old, less-efficient LED panels with our new High Performance+ Variable Wattage 21W panels, YESSS Castleford will dramatically lower energy consumption and costs (an estimated £806 saved on energy bills in a year) whilst significantly reducing their carbon footprint. Their investment will be paid back in just a little over a year and a half.
